Why This Role Matters

Afford is building a broader consumer financial app across shopping, offers, rewards, payments, and financial products. As a Product Manager, you will own key parts of the Afford experience across the full user journey, from search and discovery to conversion, engagement, and retention. You will also help shape and launch new products across Rewards, Personal Loans, and UPI Payments as the product expands.

What You’ll Own

• Define, prioritize, and drive the end-to-end product roadmap for the Afford app across the full user journey.
• Own product discovery, search relevance, and browsing, helping users find brands and offers quickly through Elasticsearch-backed search, ranking, and merchandising.
• Drive repeat usage and engagement through lifecycle journeys, rewards, and a sticky core experience, while owning retention and MTU metrics.
• Shape and launch new initiatives across Rewards, Personal Loans, and UPI Payments, sequencing them into the roadmap as Afford evolves into a broader financial app.
• Translate user problems and data into clear PRDs and a prioritized roadmap.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Analytics teams to build and ship products.
• Use data across SQL, Trino, Metabase, and GA4 to make product decisions and measure impact.
• Run experiments across search, funnel, and retention to improve conversion and repeat usage.
• Operate within RBI Digital Lending, KYC/CKYC, and NBFC partnership guardrails.
• Own product metrics end to end, including install-to-order conversion, search success, retention, and MTU.
  
  

Who You Are

• 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, ideally across consumer apps, fintech, payments, or lending.
• Preferably from a Tier-1 institute such as IIT, NIT, BITS, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical instincts with a hands-on approach to product execution—you ship, measure, and iterate.
• Experience in search and discovery, growth, or retention is a strong plus.
• Comfortable operating in a compliance-heavy, fast-moving 0→1 environment.
• Strong understanding of product metrics, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Comfortable working with data and analytics tools such as SQL, Trino, Metabase, or GA4.
• Clear communicator who can effectively align cross-functional teams.
