The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer supportthroughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customersinstalled base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment andprocesses.
The impact you’ll make
As a Product Manager at Lam, you play a crucial role in defining the strategy, roadmap, and features of the product. You are both strategic and tactical. You will span the entire product life cycle, from definition and planning to production release, upgrades, and end-of-life. Your leadership skills will be vital in ensuring cross-functional collaboration across different departments to drive the success of the portfolio of products. With your expertise in both business and technical domains, you’ll bring the product vision to life for Lam and our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Understand Product Option Architecture (POA) of Etch chambers, Gas Box and Platforms.
- Derive the new options released by Product group for different Process Chambers.
- Update Product Option Architecture for all impacted upgrade paths by defining Audit rules and appropriate sales side rules.
- Review POA updates with POA team, Configuration Engineers, NPI and drive releases into upgrades
- Participate in Visio and BOM reviews with NPI team to ensure that the intent of Visio is understood and captured
- Track kits that Product Group (PG) releases as a solution to Problem reports from manufacturing or customer locations. Ensure these solutions are implemented to impacted Upgrades.
- Convey clear message to New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering, Sales Operations, Account Team, NSR, Marketing, Business Development groups etc. about new releases & be able to validate SAP output before shipments to the field
Who We’re Looking For
- Familiarity with obsolescence management.
- Experience in Product Structuring and Configuration management.
- Should have understanding of Product Option Architecture of Wafer Fabrication equipment.
- Should know how to evaluate the relation between product option and delta material associated with option.
- Should know how to comprehend and define sales side rules for different configurations.
- Hands on experience on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software linked to Engineering Change Order/Engineering Change Request (ECO/ECR) process, SAP.
- Have good general technical acumen to be able to converse intelligently with very technical people with ME, EE, RF, Material Science etc. background.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors in Mechanical / Industrial / Automobile / Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
