PhonePe is considering candidates for the position of Senior Manager for its Disputes & Advisory. The role is an unique position that enables candidates to think and act independently to develop and implement the optimal legal strategies for the company in relation to its disputes as well as its policies and approach towards and under various laws. The candidate will be exposed to PhonePe’s wide range of businesses, each with their own unique areas and applicable laws that provide candidates with the necessary exposure to grow professionally as well as providing structured pathways for growth within the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent the company before courts, law enforcement agencies and regulators as may be required.
• Vetting and review of all types of pleading/drafting.
• Develop and implement the optimal strategies for disputes that the company may encounter.
• Guide PhonePe’s various companies through compliance with their applicable laws and assist business in developing models that are compliant and / or minimize risk.
• Develop and prepare stakeholder comments to proposed bills with a focus on how the proposed regulations would impact the company’s businesses.
• Lead, train and guide subordinates in developing their skills and aid in their professional growth.
• Identify and coordinate with external legal counsel to carry out litigation on the company’s behalf across various jurisdictions.
• Should be well versed with Power Point and excel.

Requisite Qualifications:

• Educatio : LL.B/LL.M or higher from a recognized university and admission to a bar council in India.
• Experience : 10-12 years prior experience in the legal industry with a minimum of atleast 8 years of litigation practice with a renowned law firm or practitioner.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:

• Location : The role is situated in Bellandur, Bangalore and the candidate is primarily required to work from office.
• Languages : English is mandatory. Candidates with written / spoken knowledge of Kannada would be preferred.
