• Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) with strong research experience in Computational drug design and controlled drug delivery formulations.
• Specialisation in biomaterials, in particular bone materials like hydroxyapatite, and polymer composites-based drug delivery platforms for applications in pharmaceuticals or agrochemicals will be preferred.
• The candidate will work on the development, characterisation, and evaluation of novel biomaterial-based delivery systems aimed at achieving targeted, sustained, and environmentally friendly release profiles
  
  

• Computational Design and experimental synthesis of smart biopolymer/biomaterial-based delivery systems for drugs. Develop nano/microparticles, hydrogels, coatings, or encapsulation matrices for controlled and stimuli-responsive release. Conduct physicochemical characterisation (FTIR, SEM, TEM, DSC, TGA, XRD, rheology, etc.). Hands-on experience in 3D bio-printing is favourable.
• Evaluate drug release profile kinetics, stability, biodegradation, and interaction with biological environments. Conduct physicochemical characterisation (FTIR, SEM, TEM, DSC, TGA, XRD, rheology, etc.). Perform in vitro and, when applicable, in vivo or soil/plant-based evaluations of the developed systems.
• Analyse data, prepare research reports, and publish findings in high-impact journals.
• Assist in mentoring Undergraduate students in the lab/classes and also assist in designing experiments for PhD scholars (if required). A sound knowledge of Design of Experiments is preferable, and skills to productise the findings.
