A Day in the Life
In this key transversal role within our Preformulation team, you will play a crucial part in the fast prototyping of bioactives and functional actives for skin and hair formulations. You will bridge the gap between raw material discovery and formulation development by leveraging your expertise in physicochemical characterization and rapid prototype delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Fast Prototyping: Rapidly design, develop, and deliver formulation prototypes incorporating novel bioactives and functional actives for skin and hair care.
Physicochemical Characterization: Perform rigorous physicochemical evaluations (e.g., rheology, stability, particle size analysis, compatibility studies) to assess and ensure prototype viability.
Collaboration: Work closely with synthesis, biology, and advanced formulation labs to translate innovative active ingredients into stable, high-performance vehicle systems.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Interpret complex datasets, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and document findings to guide decision-making and project progression.
Innovation & Agility: Stay updated on emerging preformulation trends, testing methodologies, and prototyping technologies to accelerate speed-to-market.
We Are Looking For
Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Applied/Industrial Chemistry, Cosmetic Science/ Technology or a related discipline.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on industrial or research experience in formulation development OR physicochemical characterization of skin and hair formulations.
Technical & Soft Skills
Strong expertise in preformulation science and rapid prototyping methodologies.
Proficiency in handling and characterizing active ingredients (bioactives and functional actives).
Hands-on experience with analytical and physicochemical characterization equipment
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent cross-functional collaboration, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and clear communication skills.
