About The Team

At Nutanix, youll be joining the Flow System Test QA team. The team youll be joining is described as awesome to work with, offering a great learning experience for all team members. Collaboration and support are key values within the team. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager for the R&D-Prod Integ - Sys QA team, who is committed to guiding the team and dedicated to helping his team succeed. Our work environment is a hybrid model, with employees coming into the office thrice a week for in-person collaboration and team building. This setup allows for flexibility while still fostering a strong team culture.

Your Role

• Writing and executing detailed system test plans to thoroughly validate features.
• Executing large scale customer deployment scenario tests.
• Automating all aspects of the workflow including test harnesses and frameworks.
• Collaborating with a team of developers, test engineers, and product management.
• Working closely with development engineers to analyze and find the root cause of failures.
• Engage with customer support engineers as well as customers to debug and solve production issues.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Minimum of 5–9 years of Testing experience in a Data Center product company BE or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in Test Automation in one of the following programming languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (Python preferred).
• Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as: TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, VPN, OSPF, VXLAN, GRE, etc.
• Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM (KVM preferred).
• Experience with network troubleshooting and traffic generator and tools such as wireshark, tcpdump, git, ixia, ostinato etc.
• Experience with building/testing a scalable networking solution.
• Prior system testing experience of large scale deployments will be a big plus.
• Experience with distributed software systems.
• Hands-on exposure to a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. preferred).
  
  

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
