MiQ Digital is looking for a Data Science Manager with 8+ years’ experience to work on one of its data products. You will be working with the internal and external teams on technology platforms/systems for Data Science and AI for solving business related problems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to experience your innovative solutions having a big impact on business.

Key Responsibilities & Success Indicators/Outcomes

Products & Solution Focus -

• Responsible for the successful delivery and discovery of the Data Science charter of the Product roadmap across multiple products.
• Responsible for building data science solutions which can be used across clients
• Proactiveness in identifying road blockers within a data science component in a product or solution and guiding the data science lead
• Expert in people management and able to transition resources within multiple teams
• Providing feedback and gaining understanding from the PM in understanding long term plans.
• Accountable for Data Science feature releases along with PM’s
  
  

Data Science Excellence -

• Providing technical guidance and promoting best practices in CI/CD, coding, feature engineering, modelling, and model validation.
• Experience with MLOps and deploying data science models to production using AWS and Databricks.
• Proven track record of applying DS techniques such as Clustering, LTV prediction, Regression, Propensity Models, Forecasting, Tree Based Methods, Causal Inference etc, to real world problems.
• Good to have experience in applying Generative AI (GenAI) techniques including RAG, hybrid/vector search, agent development, advanced prompt engineering, tool orchestration, and LLM evaluation in product environments.
• Deeper understanding of DS methodology, approaches, tools and ability to translate a business problem into a solution
• Working with EMs of other functions to advocate best practices helping in sustainability of MIQ Ecosystem
  
  

Agile Methodology-

• Ownership of Agile Methodology followed within the team
• Working closely with Program Managers to meet expected Process Improvement Targets
  
  

Coaching & Mentoring-

• Guiding TLS in bringing best Learning & Development plans for team members
• Supporting TLS in growth plan formulation of team members
  
  

Innovation-

• Possessing Strategic Thinking and helping PMs in shaping future roadmaps
• Proactive in making changes as to how Product Analysts are well tied to DS/SDS and vice versa
  
  

Cost Optimisation-

• Responsible for maintaining compute cost well under permissible limits
  
  

Org-Wide Initiatives-

• Involved in 20% of org wide initiatives
• Active Participant in hiring and other initiatives started within Data Science teams
  
  

Collaboration-

• Responsible for Collaboration with Data Engineering, Analytics and other teams within MIQ

What You’ll Bring

Must Have Skills

• Bachelors or master’s degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in solving data science problems using statistical modelling, machine learning, data mining & Gen AI
• Strong experience with at least one programming language e.g. Python, R and distributed computing using Pyspark
• Experience of delivering at least one product with involvement in business problem identification proposes solutions and evaluating them, identifying required data sources, building data pipeline, building and validating model, interpreting the results, visualizing the outputs and taking actions based on the data outputs.
• Experience in delivering data science projects leveraging cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to MLOps and experience in productionizing data science models into cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Agile framework.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching Senior Data Scientists and Data Scientists.
• Demonstrated high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
