Lead - SAP-SAP ABAP Gateway Odata

Job Description

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Gateway (OData) Lead to join our S4 HANA Technical - Delivery department. In this role, you will lead a team of developers, providing technical expertise and guidance to design and develop SAP backend integrations and OData services. Your leadership and mentorship will be crucial in driving the teams performance and delivering high-quality solutions. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in ABAP, SAP Gateway, and OData services, along with experience in Fiori integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SAP ABAP developers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Design and develop SAP backend integrations and OData services, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices and standards for SAP ABAP development, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP ABAP Gateway and OData services.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends, and drive innovation within the team.
• Document and communicate technical designs, ensuring clear and concise documentation for future reference.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, promoting continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects by effectively managing resources and prioritizing tasks.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on SAP Gateway and OData services.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring SAP ABAP development teams.
• Expertise in SAP ABAP programming, including object-oriented programming concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Gateway technology and OData service development.
• Experience with Fiori integrations and UI development is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying updated with SAP technologies.
