Lead - Prescription Validation Specialist

This role is with one of our portfolio company.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating prescriptions received through our platform before medicines are processed for fulfillment. You will ensure that prescriptions are authentic, complete, legible, clinically appropriate within the scope of the role, and compliant with applicable pharmacy and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review prescriptions submitted by customers through the app, website, or other channels.
• Assess prescriptions for legibility, validity, completeness, and potential discrepancies.
• Cross-check prescribed medicines against the order placed by the customer.
• Flag potentially unsafe, unclear, duplicate, expired, altered, or suspicious prescriptions according to company SOPs.
• Coordinate with pharmacists, customers, prescribers, and internal operations teams to resolve prescription-related issues.
• Follow applicable laws, regulations, pharmacy standards, and company policies governing prescription medicines.
• Maintain accurate records of prescription reviews, rejections, escalations, and resolutions.
• Work closely with Product and Operations teams to identify recurring prescription-validation issues and improve workflows.
• Support the development and refinement of prescription validation SOPs, checklists, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm) / MBBS or a relevant healthcare qualification, as required by applicable regulations.
• 7 to 15 years of experience in prescription validation / processing.
• Strong understanding of common medicines, dosage forms, strengths, and prescription terminology.
• Experience with an online pharmacy, medicine-delivery platform.
• Familiarity with electronic prescriptions and digital prescription workflows.
• Experience with prescription fraud/error identification.
