About the Role:

We’re looking for a Lead Motion Graphic Designer who thrives on bringing stories to life through engaging motion, video, and animation. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping Uniqode’s brand expression across product, marketing, and social touchpoints. Youll collaborate closely with brand designers, marketers, and content creators to produce high-impact visual narratives that elevate our brand and connect with global audiences.

What we are looking for in our Lead Motion Designer:

• Define and scale the motion design language for scalability and adoption.
• Simplify complex interactions through animation to reduce cognitive load and improve user experience
• Build production-ready assets. Comfort with After effects, Premiere Pro, Rive, Lottie, AI tools
• Art-direct video and campaign content. Own and set the creative direction, storyboards, visual tone and produce using vibe coding.
• Guide engineering implementation running QA and basic technical knowledge of limitations.
• Collaborate across marketing, branding, product, and engineering. Manage stakeholder relationships and advocate for motion as a thought partner and not an executioner.
• Leverage AI tools and modern workflows to accelerate concepting, create frames for video production, and explore animation ideas rapidly
• Create and share principles with the broader team, helping peers develop motion literacy to ensure mature and critical feedback and adoption.
• Find opportunities beyond the brief proactively to solve problems not articulated yet.

What we expect from you:

• 5+ years of motion design experience spanning product, brand, or a combination of both.
• A portfolio that shows both exceptional craft and systematic thinking, not just beautiful reels, but evidence that your work shipped and scaled.
• Deep proficiency in After Effects, with strong Lottie and Rive export knowledge. Comfortable with Figma and Premiere Pro.
• Proficiency and comfort working with video-generating AI tools like Sora, Veo, Freepik, and Mid-Journey.
• Knowledge of production code is not required, but understanding how animation gets implemented on web and mobile so collaboration and feedback to engineers for implementation is easy.
• A sharp eye for composition, color, typography, and pacing. Art direct by developing a visual concept, storyboard it, direct it through production, and deliver it at a high bar.
• Understand that motion is a brand asset, not decoration. Think about how animation reinforces personality, guides attention, and creates consistency across touchpoints.
• Hands-on comfort with generative AI tools for concepting, frame generation, or rapid prototyping. You see these tools as creative accelerants, not replacements.
• Ability to articulate the "why" behind motion decisions to non-designers, manage feedback from multiple stakeholders, and present work with clarity and confidence.
• Actively upskill and follow whats happening in motion design from new tools and runtime formats to trends in interaction design and real-time graphics and you bring that knowledge back to the team.

Nice to Have

1. Experience building or contributing to motion design systems within a design system
2. Familiarity with creative coding tools
3. Background in a SaaS, product, or technology company
4. Understanding of accessibility considerations for motion (reduced motion preferences, cognitive load, clarity)
