The Learning Business Partner (LBP) acts as the strategic interface between the business and the Learning & Workforce (LVW) organization. The role ensures that learning priorities are aligned with business objectives, global frameworks, and compliance requirements. LBPs drive collaboration, governance, and insights to enable capability building across their span of control.

She/He acts as an account manager for Learning, responsible for defining and delivering learning priorities, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring end-to-end accountability for learning programs across portfolios, professional groups, and business units.

Stakeholder Ecosystem:

  • Internal: Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Managers, Global Learning Delivery teams, Country Learning Delivery teams.
  • External: Vendors (as needed for insights, not for delivery).

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver learning priorities and targets across groups, global business lines (GBLs), strategic business units (SBUs), and countries.
  • Hold end-to-end accountability for achieving learning priorities.
  • Manage governance of learning topics, including stakeholder engagement and representation in organizational committees (OCIs).
  • Align and collaborate with professional groups, business leads, and HR teams to cascade learning offers and key messages.
  • Consolidate and challenge capability plans at global, group, and country levels to ensure business priorities are addressed.
  • Manage and consolidate budgets for learning programs at various organizational levels.
  • Validate learning content, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements, and escalate new needs as appropriate.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with business owners, heads of learning, HR, and other key partners, reporting insights and achievements.
  • Coordinate the development of learning programs, ensuring global alignment and collaboration across the learning value wheel (LVW).
  • Own the quality and accuracy of learning data within scope, ensuring reliable reporting and insights.
  • Oversee solutions deployment, maintaining an overarching view of all programs and promoting LVW-agnostic solutions and frameworks (e.g., simplification, learning culture).
  • Global only: Own skills governance, including the definition, learning, and alignment of skills with business and career needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development or HR, with exposure to global programs and governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in learning governance and program management.
  • Ability to manage budgets and validate compliance requirements.
  • Analytical mindset for data accuracy and reporting.
  • Knowledge of global learning frameworks and organizational committees
