Location: Bangalore

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced L3 Backup & Storage Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise backup, storage administration and automation. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with backup technologies and scripting/automation to improve operational efficiency.

• Enterprise Backup & Storage Administration

• Commvault

• Veeam Backup & Replication

• HPE Alletra & HPE 3PAR

• Windows Server

• Linux – RHEL / SUSE / Ubuntu

• Python / PowerShell / Bash

• Ansible

• REST APIs, JSON & YAML

• Git / GitHub

• Backup, Restore & Replication troubleshooting

• Storage performance & capacity management

• RCA and incident resolution

GOOD TO HAVE

• ServiceNow & ITIL

• CI/CD concepts

• Grafana / Elastic Stack

• Disaster Recovery planning

• Self-healing / event-driven automation

• Azure / AI-ML operational analytics

• Relevant backup/cloud certifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide L3 support for enterprise Backup & Storage infrastructure

• Troubleshoot complex backup, restore, replication and storage issues

• Perform RCA and implement permanent fixes

• Plan upgrades, migrations and technology refreshes

• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell or Ansible

• Build automated health checks, compliance reports and backup verification

• Integrate platforms using REST APIs

• Monitor capacity, performance and infrastructure health

• Create dashboards and automated reporting

• Collaborate with Windows, Linux, VMware, Database, Network and Security teams

• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives
