We are looking for a motivated Junior GIS Specialist to support the development, maintenance, and analysis of geospatial data and GIS applications. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering GIS solutions, creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and supporting BIM-GIS integration initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, maintenance, and management of GIS databases and geospatial datasets.
• Support spatial analysis, mapping, and data visualization activities for various infrastructure and urban development projects.
• Prepare high-quality maps, layouts, dashboards, and geospatial reports.
• Assist in BIM-GIS integration workflows and support data exchange between GIS and BIM platforms.
• Support data conversion, migration, and transformation activities using tools such as FME.
• Perform data quality checks, validation, and updates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in developing and maintaining GIS applications, tools, and workflows.
• Work with project teams to collect, organize, and analyze spatial and non-spatial data.
• Support remote sensing and imagery interpretation tasks where required.
• Document GIS processes, standards, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, architects, and environmental specialists.
• Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant GIS experience.
• Basic understanding of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS.
• Familiarity with coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial data formats.
• Working knowledge of FME is preferred.
• Basic understanding of BIM-GIS integration concepts.
• Knowledge of spatial databases and SQL.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python is desirable.
• Familiarity with remote sensing datasets and imagery interpretation is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Domain expertise in urban planning, environmental management, or natural resource management is advantageous
• Willingness to travel within India as required for project work
