Job Description:

Designing secure, scalable, and cost-optimized infrastructure solutions across data centers, private/public cloud, and hybrid environments architecture leadership, this role partners closely with Sales, Solution Consulting, and Delivery to shape opportunities, develop winning proposals, support RFP/RFI responses, and lead technical workstreams in competitive bids. The architect will create end-to-end solution blueprints, cost models, transition/migration approaches, and value articulation that align with client business outcomes and contractual requirements.

Role Overview

The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing secure, scalable, and cost-optimized infrastructure solutions across data centers, private/public cloud, and hybrid environments. In addition to architecture leadership, this role partners closely with Sales, Solution Consulting, and Delivery to shape opportunities, develop winning proposals, support

RFP/RFI responses, and lead technical workstreams in competitive bids. The architect will create end-to-end solution blueprints, cost models, transition/migration approaches, and value articulation that align with client business outcomes and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

Define target-state architectures for on prem, private cloud, public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), and hybrid models, ensuring security, resilience, and compliance.

Produce HLD/LLD, reference architectures, landing zones, and integration patterns (network, identity, observability, backup/DR).

Lead modernization initiatives (virtualization to cloud, infra as code, container platforms, edge, and automation).

Establish non functional requirements (availability, RPO/RTO, performance, scalability) and validate via PoCs.

Drive cost optimization (FinOps), capacity planning, and lifecycle management.

Business Engineering, Proposals, and Bidding

Own the technical solution for pursuits—shape the scope, story, and differentiation in partnership with bid management and sales.

Lead RFI/RFP responses: develop solution narratives, architecture diagrams, delivery models, transition plans, and risk registers.

Create solution SoW inputs, and commercial options (e.g., fixed price, unit-based, consumption-based).

Present technical solutions to client SMEs, enterprise architects, and CXO stakeholders; handle solution objections and clarifications.

Collaborate with legal/commercial teams on SLAs, warranties, liabilities, and service credits tied to the architecture.

Contribute to orals and solution walkthroughs, ensuring win themes, value cases, and competitive positioning are clear.

Maintain a reusable solution asset library (patterns, pricing levers, case studies, differentiators).

Delivery & Governance

Provide architecture oversight through transition/migration and early operations; ensure adherence to standards and guardrails.

Define reference implementations, IaC modules, and CI/CD patterns for infrastructure build-out.

Drive security-by-design: identity, segmentation, secrets, encryption, logging, and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Run architectural risk assessments and create mitigation plans.

10–15+ years in infrastructure engineering/architecture with at least 5 years in lead/architect roles.

Deep expertise in two or more: Compute/Virtualization (VMware/Hyper V), Networking (SDN, DNS, FW, ZTNA), Storage/Backup/DR, Identity (AD/AAD/Entra, SSO/Fed), Observability (SIEM, APM, NPM, ITSM).

Cloud architecture experience: Azure (preferred), AWS and/or GCP (nice to have); landing zones, hub-spoke, hybrid connectivity.

Hands-on with IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM), Pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), and Config Mgmt (Ansible/DSC).

Demonstrated experience contributing to RFP/RFI responses, cost models, solution narratives, and client orals.

Strong understanding of ITIL, SRE practices, FinOps, and security/compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication—able to simplify complexity, defend design trade-offs, and influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred/Certifications

Azure Solutions Architect Expert / AWS Solutions Architect Pro / Google Professional Cloud Architect.

VMware VCP/VCDX, CCNP/CCIE (or equivalent), ITIL Foundation/Intermediate, FinOps Practitioner.

Industry vertical experience (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare, Manufacturing) and regulated environments.

Behavioural Competencies :

Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements

Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)

Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams

Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services

Ability to plan, prioritize and complete your own work, whilst remaining a team player
