Role Description The Inclusive Learning Support Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The person in this role will provide individualized classroom and school-based support to neurodiverse children, helping them participate meaningfully in mainstream learning environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with academic tasks, facilitating social and communication skills, supporting behavior regulation, and adapting learning materials in collaboration with teachers and special educators. The role involves closely observing student needs, implementing agreed support plans, documenting progress, and communicating regularly with educators, therapists, and families. The Inclusive Learning Support Assistant will also contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture aligned with Insighte’s evidence-based practices.
Qualifications

  • Strong child support and classroom assistance skills, including patience, empathy, and the ability to follow structured support plans.
  • Understanding of neurodiversity, child development, and inclusive education practices, with the ability to implement strategies recommended by psychologists and special educators.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with teachers, school staff, families, and allied professionals.
  • Observation, documentation, and basic reporting skills to track student progress and share insights with the support team.
  • Ability to manage time, follow routines, and maintain a calm presence in dynamic classroom environments.
  • Relevant education in psychology, special education, social work, education, or related fields (degree, diploma, or certification preferred).
  • Prior experience working with children in schools, learning centers, or therapeutic settings is an advantage.
  • Commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices and openness to ongoing training and supervision.
