Job Description
In the Hardware Engineer role within our Space and Defence team, you will thrive in a collaborative environment that encourages innovative problem-solving. Your primary focus will be testing Femtocell and Small Cell solutions across End-to-End 4G/5G networks, directly contributing to the enhancement of our mobile network capabilities.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- This pivotal role supports our mission in Applied R&D by tackling complex technical challenges through multi-disciplinary design and implementation. Works as the Lead Mechanical Designer in the AIO Small Cell HW Design and Test team
- Expertise in mechanical, thermal, structural, tooling and manufacturing design to ensure compact and robust indoor and outdoor Small Cell products.
- Expertise in Environmental (Telecordia GR, ETSI EN) and Compliance (TIA, NEBS, UL, CE, FCC) regulatory testing to ensure Small Cell products meet required specifications.
- Experience in designing HFC Cable TV outdoor products to meet Outside Plant (OSP) certification.
- Expertise in designing mounting accessories for indoor and outdoor Small Cells in various installation scenarios.
- Experience in designing Plastic injection molding, Die-Casting, Sheet Metal, CNC Machining.
- Expertise in Pro-Engineer, Creo, Solidworks, Flowtherm, Keysoft rendering.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- 10+ years experience in Hardware Product Design for Wireless Telecommunications Indoor and Outdoor Small Cell products.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and also work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work closely with ODM Factory Design, Product Management, Customer and Field Support teams.
- Experience in Lead Radio Hardware Design and Development roles (Mechanical, Power, RF, Digital).
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience in executing test cases and providing regular results/reports.
- Strong adherence to project timelines for deliverables
