We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Hub Supply Chain Manager - APAC to lead and optimize our supply chain operations across the Asia Pacific region. This role is crucial for ensuring efficiency, cost-effective, and resilient supply chain performance to support Hitachi Energys business objectives.
Successful applicant will continue to be based at the home country where Hitachi Energy is present, without required to be relocated.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- You will develop and implement regional supply chain strategies aligned with global objectives and local market demands, oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution for the Asia Pacific HUB.
- You will manage and optimize inventory levels across the region to minimize costs and ensure product availability, lead supplier relationship management activities, negotiating contracts, and foster strong partnerships to secure favorable terms and reliable supply.
- You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes, leveraging best practices, technology, and data analytics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- You will ensure compliance with all relevant international and local regulations, trade compliance, and company policies, lead and develop a high-performing regional supply chain team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, finance, and engineering, to ensure seamless execution and alignment, identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and natural disaster impacts.
- You will manage logistics service providers (LSPs) and optimize transportation networks to achieve cost and service targets, prepare and manage the regional supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and effective resource allocation.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with 5 years in a leadership role managing regional or multi-country operations, preferably within a multinational industrial or energy company.
- Proven track record of success in optimizing complex supply chains and delivering significant cost savings and efficiency improvements, strong understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and logistics in the Asia Pacific region and expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, strategic sourcing, and logistics optimization.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, advanced planning systems), excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach, strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse cultures and organizational levels. Ability to travel frequently across the Asia Pacific region as required.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Proficiency in other Asian languages is a plus.
