Job Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Setting up & facilitate KOM prior to the HAZOP study
  • Pull data for the specific unit and sharing with all the stakeholders.
  • Check in with the site process safety team on technical document readiness, ensuring updated P&IDs, PFDs, and Process Descriptions are uploaded prior to KOM.
  • Send out placeholders for the first node review meeting, confirm technical expert and facilitator attendance, and record all information in HAZOP check-in email.
  • Ensure necessary requirements—such as field walks, incident reviews, MOC reviews, human factors, and facility siting reviews—are carried out.
  • Ensure minimum requirements are met during the study, including tracking HAZOP progress and any potential duration extensions, communicating them to HAZOP Contract Administrator / Manufacturing Risk Engineer.
  • Ensure the draft report is submitted using the latest template with all attachments and filled worksheets (node description, design, and operating parameters).
  • Verify that the list of recommendations in the draft report matches what was agreed upon during the wrap-up meeting, and that all team member comments are incorporated into the final report.
  • Ensure all key HAZOP deliverables are received and uploaded into the repository and communicate key summaries and feedback questionnaires to attendees
  • Provide regular updates to Team lead & publish weekly/monthly reports on progress.

Work Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in oil and gas.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience in technical coordination, safety studies, or project administration within the oil, gas, or process manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with HAZOP study process, templates, and safety standards is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and digital document management skills (ShareFile etc.).
  • Ability to manage tight timelines and coordinate cross-functional engineering.
