The Role

As a Functional Analyst at Kyndryl, you will be supporting and leading the analysis, design, and delivery of banking solutions. The role involves translating business needs into solution specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful implementation aligned with business goals, technology standards, and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and system requirements under guidance
- Assist in capturing solution, performance, and security requirements along with user stories and acceptance criteria
- Support analysis of dependencies and change impact assessments
- Support development of solution documentation and design artifacts
- Assist in creating data mappings and data flow documentation
- Contribute to data modelling activities under supervision
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, and act as a bridge between business and technology teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Support translation of business needs into implementation-ready specifications
- Prepare and execute test cases and scripts
- Support defect logging, tracking, and resolution
- Assist stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Follow defined architecture and delivery standards
- Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements
- Support IT risk and control processes
- Support process improvements and documentation standards
- Continuously learn and enhance domain and functional knowledge

Required Technical And Professional Experience
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in banking or BFSI domain
- Deep understanding of Payments landscape:
- Domestic and cross-border payments (SEPA, SWIFT (SAG/SAA), real-time payments)
- Payment processing flows (initiation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation)
- Strong expertise in Cards domain:
- Card lifecycle (issuance, activation, authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes/chargebacks)
- Knowledge of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard) and ecosystem participants
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., PSD2, AML, fraud prevention, strong customer authentication), Cyber Fraud and Risk Management
- Experience with end-to-end transaction flows and customer journeys across channels (digital, POS, ATM)
- Exposure to Sirius, SafeWatch, MOSEL, MOSEL Gateways, G4S will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with end-to-end customer journeys and cross-domain dependencies
- Strong knowledge of solution design, product lifecycle, and data governance & analysis
- Deep understanding of testing, customer experience, incident/problem management, and application support
- Strong understanding of payments/cards testing strategies (transaction validation, reconciliation testing, exception handling)
- Expertise in requirements analysis, solution specification management, and feasibility assessment
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset with strong business awareness
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- High level of accountability, integrity, and adaptability
- Ability to perform in complex and high-pressure environments
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Bachelore’s/Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Preferred Tools/Platforms: e.g., Jira, Confluence
- Certification in Agile SAFe
