About The Position

As a Financial Controller – Europe, you will be a key member of the European Financial Controlling team, partnering with stakeholders across multiple countries while working from our Bengaluru office. Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in leading financial control activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening compliance, and driving continuous process improvements across the European business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly accomplished finance professional with 10+ years of experience in Financial Controlling, Plant Controlling, or Record-to-Report (R2R) within a multinational organization. You will bring strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (BlackLine is an added advantage), deep knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, and external audits, along with exceptional business partnering skills to support a dynamic international finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Own the Balance Sheet and P&L reporting for European legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
• Lead month-end close activities, providing meaningful insights into overheads, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Drive financial control activities while ensuring robust governance and compliance across the business.
• Lead local statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit-related activities.
  
  

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Regional Financial Controllers, Commercial Finance, Treasury, Tax, Supply Chain, and Group Finance teams across Europe.
• Communicate financial results and insights effectively to senior stakeholders, supporting informed business decisions.
• Build trusted relationships across a virtual global finance organization.
  
  

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Contribute to Record-to-Report (R2R) transformation initiatives, including Balance Sheet reconciliations, Financial Statement in-housing, VAT, and other finance improvement projects.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through automation, standardization, and best practices.
  
  

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
• Support both internal and external audits while maintaining high-quality financial documentation.
• Drive a strong governance and compliance culture across financial reporting activities.
  
  

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

• Extensive experience in Financial Controlling, Record-to-Report (R2R), or Plant Controlling within a multinational environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting, financial controls, and external audits.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA; experience with BlackLine and a professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build strong business partnerships across global teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and passion for driving continuous improvement.
