Equity Research Analyst

Location: Bangalore, India

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Equity Research Analyst to join our research team in India. This team would support Senior Portfolio Managers (SPMs) and investment teams globally by providing high-quality research and analytical support across sectors and markets.

In this role, you will work closely with global investment teams on financial modeling, forecasting, company and industry research, earnings analysis, database maintenance, thematic work, and idea generation. You will also use internal AI and research tools to improve efficiency, automate repeatable workflows, and enhance the quality and timeliness of research output.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks
• Analyze quarterly results, company disclosures, earnings transcripts, management commentary, and key operating drivers
• Conduct fundamental company and industry research to support investment analysis and idea generation
• Monitor news flow, industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes relevant to covered companies and sectors
• Maintain and update internal databases, comparable company trackers, and recurring research materials
• Support thematic analysis, sector work, cross-company comparisons, and screening exercises
• Prepare materials ahead of earnings, company meetings, industry events, and other key catalysts
• Partner closely with global investment teams to deliver timely, accurate, and decision-useful research support
• Help improve research processes by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and workflow enhancement
  
  

• Leverage internal AI and research tools to drive efficiency across research workflows
• Use approved tools to support tasks such as news tracking, transcript summarization, document synthesis, data extraction, and research preparation
• Help automate repetitive, manual tasks while ensuring that analyst judgment, validation, and accountability remain central to final outputs
• Contribute to the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and best practices within the research team
  
  

• 7+ years of experience in equity research experience - buy side or sell side is required
• Strong capabilities in financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental analysis
• Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Visible Alpha, and other databases
• Exposure to data, automation, or AI-enabled research workflows
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High level of ownership, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity
  
  

• Strong academic record; CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus
