Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience with working in a matrixed organization.
• Experience with Platform, Infrastructure or Server Side.

Search Serving Infra provides the framework for sustainable, performant and reliable execution of Search products and features at scale. The team is responsible for optimizing and defending the user-visible Search Latency.In Google Search, were reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities that support the organizations goals. Define and evolve the charter of the team with a balanced portfolio of foundational investments, exploratory bets.
• Set expectations with people based on their level and role and aligned to the organizations goals. Meet regularly with people to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
• Develop the technical goal and roadmap Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs. Be an advocate for Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption in the team.
• Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the area, and write product or system development code to solve problems.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
