Responsible for the execution of Fuel Economy and Performance 1D Vehicle-Level simulations for Mercedes Benz Trucks in collaboration with the Germany counterpart.

Responsible for Development of MATLAB /Simulink-based Daimler In-House and Post Processing Tool.
Identify Opportunities for Product,  tool and model improvements, with a focus on growth areas such as AI/ML.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution of Fuel Economy and Performance 1D Vehicle-Level simulations for Mercedes Benz Trucks in collaboration with the Germany counterpart.
Responsible for Development of MATLAB /Simulink-based Daimler In-House and Post Processing Tool.
Identify Opportunities for Product,  tool and model improvements, with a focus on growth areas such as AI/ML.

Technical Experience:
•Vehicle and Simulation skills:
- Strong understanding of vehicle fundamentals: EV/Hybrid/ICE architectures, powertrain components, vehicle physics, and energy flow.
 - 2–4-year Experience with 1D vehicle simulation for performance, fuel economy, and energy consumption (EV/Hybrid/Conventional/Fuel Cell).
- Experience with vehicle simulation Tools and software, or ability to rapidly learn and develop Capability.
Software skills:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in MATLAB coding and Simulink-level vehicle model development. Skilled in writing reusable, testable, and efficient MATLAB code.
- Knowledge of MATLAB OOP concepts such as classes, properties, methods, inheritance, events and more. The candidate should have contributed substantially to at least one object-oriented programming project.
- Python fundamentals: Basic knowledge of Python syntax and semantics, variables, data types, operators, control flow, functions, basic and advanced data structures, OOP, modules, exception handling. Familiarity with popular Python libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib for data analysis.
 

Bonus Skills:
• Passion for tool development and vehicle efficiency, including fuel economy, EV range, and performance
• Knowledge and/or experience in Python Programing, Big Data, Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence

Qualifications

Required Qualification:
• Master’s in mechanical/Automobile Engineering from accredited Engineering College.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
