Responsibilities
DevOps & Engineering Delivery
- Working with Global Digital Orchestration team and key internal and Microsoft stakeholders define the GCC organizational requirements, roles and responsibilities to establish core DevOps GCC team. Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, development and day-to-day management of these resources.
- Establish and maintain product level DevSecOps standards aligned with WSP standards, quality gates, release governance
- Lead the day to day DevOps and full stack engineering delivery for assigned digital products from the GCC, owning end to end delivery from backlog readiness through release, stabilisation, and continuous improvement.
- Actively contribute to development activities, including solution design, coding, CI/CD pipeline development, deployment, and issue resolution as required.
- Ensure delivery commitments are met with a strong focus on quality, reliability, security, and operational readiness.
- Participate in architecture forums, risk reviews, and engineering assurance boards to represent delivery feasibility, scalability and product quality requirements.
- Ensure non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability) are proactively embedded into product design, development and product release cycles
- Ensure compliance with global WSP security & privacy frameworks
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners, Global Digital Orchestration, Global Digital Offering leads, and WSP IT to ensure delivery priorities, release planning, and technical decisions remain aligned to product strategy and downstream client needs.
- Act as interface between DevOps and WSP Cloud Infrastructure Team for agile product development requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams across regions and time zones.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Define, track, and manage delivery performance metrics including release predictability, platform reliability, engineering quality, and operational readiness.
- Provide clear, timely, and transparent delivery reporting to internal stakeholders to support governance and decision making.
Risk & Issue Management
- Proactively identify and manage delivery, technical, security, and dependency risks that may impact product releases or platform stability.
- Escalate risks and issues through appropriate governance channels and contribute to mitigation planning.
Continuous Improvement
- Champion continuous improvement in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, engineering standards, and ways of working to improve delivery efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Promote modern engineering and DevOps practices across the GCC delivery teams.
Role Boundaries
- This role does not hold primary accountability for client account management, commercial ownership, or contractual service delivery.
- Client engagement is typically managed through Product Owners, Client Program Leads, or Delivery Managers, with this role contributing through strong engineering
Qualifications
KILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years + Experience leading DevOps capabilities in large or multi-national organizations
- 5+ years building DevOps product capability within large / global organizations.
- Observability (APM, logging, SRE practices)
- AI-assisted DevOps tooling (GitHub Copilot, AI ‑ driven test automation)
Technical & Delivery Experience
- Proven experience leading delivery using agile and DevOps methodologies in a product based or platform environment.
- Strong hands on experience with modern cloud platforms, DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and full stack engineering practices.
- Experience delivering enterprise grade digital products in a global or distributed delivery model.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with Product Owners, engineers, and senior internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery clarity.
- Ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical audiences.
Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use delivery and operational data to drive improvements in quality, performance, and reliability.
- Proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving, taking ownership and accountability where necessary and staying flexible and collaborative.
Leadership & Ways of Working
- Experience leading cross‑functional engineering teams and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in an evolving environment with changing priorities, demonstrating accountability, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working within a GCC type environment and engaging with stakeholders across multiple global regions and time zones.
