DevOps development

Role overview

The role is a team member, possibly team leader, in a DevOps team for a team handling a solution for CI/CD in a big Telecom company.

Global setup with several teams cooperating across all time zones with "flat hierarchy"

Providing complete solution for CI/CD pipelines

Main communication language is English

Evolving eStart forms and accommodating those to needs of Eiffel service instances deployment to customers; monitoring and resolving issues reported within eStart deployment automation, either issues in deployment itself or in eStart forms; occasionally working over Change Weekends to support application of Eiffel service changes at customer domains.

Key responsibilities

Planning and execution of DevOps tasks according to the team backlog.

Support tasks and communication around these.

Work in LATAM time zone normal working hours (Same time zone as Montreal, Canada, EST/EDT)

Required Skills

Experience with Lean and Agile way of working

Scrum, Kanban, SAFe

Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Speak up attitude and honest mindset

Active and enthusiastic approach to work

Python, Bash, Puppets, Ansible, CheckMK

Git, Gerrit

Linux, Docker

Experience with building, automatic deployment and managing of CI/CD flows

Experience with eStart development prefered benefit

Required Skills (nice To Have)

Experience from Telecom industry

Experience

2-5 yrs experience minimum for “experienced”

>5 yrs experience and capable of leading small team for “senior”

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related field
