Job Description

AECOM India is seeking a Modeller / Design Engineer to support design development and modeling activities across infrastructure and utility projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design drawings, models, and technical documentation in line with project and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings and engineering models in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Support hydraulic and/or structural modeling activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with project engineers and discipline leads to ensure consistency and accuracy in design output.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, BOQs, and preparation of design calculations and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate comments to meet technical and quality expectations.
• Maintain organised design records and ensure adherence to AECOM quality and safety systems.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BE / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in design and modeling roles.
• Hands-on experience in preparation of design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Exposure to hydraulic or structural modeling software such as:
• WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS
• STAAD, ETABS
• EPANET or similar analysis tools
• Basic understanding of engineering analysis and modeling principles.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in relevant design and modeling tools, including:
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS
• GIS (basic to intermediate)
• Working knowledge of applicable industry standards, design codes, and best practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
