Job Description

Deputy Designer - Bridges supports project delivery by creating accurate and coordinated digital models essential for design development and construction. This role demands technical proficiency, collaboration, and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

BIM Modeling & Documentation

  • Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models using Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, or other BIM tools.
  • Produce high-quality drawings, schedules, and reports aligned with project requirements.
  • Ensure model accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry and company standards.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in BIM tools: Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or discipline-specific BIM software.
  • Experience model coordination, and multidisciplinary integration.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards, model structures, and Level of Detail (LOD) requirements.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Recognized Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural engineering modelling and detailing, with a focus on bridges.
  • Proven expertise in 3D modelling using tools like Revit Structures and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to create custom families and templates to enhance BIM workflows.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English, with a strong command of technical terminology.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or COBie standards is highly desirable.
