Your Role: Data Privacy Analyst – Personal Data Protection
As a Privacy Analyst, you will play a critical role in executing privacy and data governance controls, particularly in the context of data migration programs and ongoing privacy operations. You will support the organization’s compliance obligations while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement within privacy and data protection capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Execute privacy and data governance controls as part of Privacy by Design implementation, particularly within data migration program scopes.
Perform detailed analysis of privacy and data governance controls using a combination of manual processes and automated tools.
Conduct data sampling, risk assessments, and control validation to identify privacy risks and gaps.
Initiate and support remediation actions where control weaknesses or compliance gaps are identified.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage privacy-related tasks and ensure timely resolution within agreed timelines.
Support initiatives related to data protection regulations and organizational compliance requirements.
Track and report the status of privacy and data governance control execution to relevant stakeholders.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and optimization within privacy and data protection processes.
Assist in investigating, retrieving, and analyzing data to support privacy governance and escalation handling.
Requirements
4–6 years of experience in data protection, privacy, security, or data governance roles.
Background in privacy and data protection with a basic to intermediate understanding of global privacy regulations and data protection principles.
Hands-on knowledge and experience in Privacy, Security, and Data Governance domains.
Understanding of relational databases; ability to work with databases and query data is a plus.
Strong ability to investigate, retrieve, analyze, and document data-related findings.
Experience executing operational privacy controls and supporting governance frameworks.
Excellent attention to detail, prioritization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings, issues, and actions clearly and systematically.
Self-disciplined, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Relevant specialized diploma or certification in Privacy, Data Protection, Security, or Data Governance is an added advantage.
