Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing
• Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue
• Develop and deploy serverless data processing solutions using AWS Lambda
• Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and third-party systems
• Optimize data storage and querying using AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Athena, RDS, etc.)
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and governance across data platforms
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
• Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tuning for data pipelines
• Follow best practices for CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer (5–8 years)
• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically AWS Glue and AWS Lambda
• Proficiency in Python and/or SQL for data processing and transformation
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts, and data modeling
• Experience working with cloud-based data lakes and analytics platforms

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Step Functions
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in consulting or client-facing environments

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
