Summary:

As a Data Centre Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the physical infrastructure of the data center, ensuring optimal utilization of floor space, maintaining environmental controls such as air conditioning and power supply, and coordinating installations. The role includes managing relationships with various vendors and their equipment, supervising data center operators, and ensuring continuous operation of critical services around the clock. This position requires attentiveness to system events and batch processes to maintain seamless service delivery and operational efficiency within the data center environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor activities to ensure timely and quality delivery of services and equipment.
• Monitor and manage 24/7 data center operations to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Supervise and guide data center operators to ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety standards.
• Assist in the planning and execution of data center capacity and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing knowledge to foster professional growth.
  
  
  

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure components including power, cooling, and physical space management.
• Experience in vendor management and coordination within a data center environment.
• Ability to monitor and manage system events and batch processes effectively.
• Skilled in supervising operational teams and ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
