About The Team

Foundation team’s core objective is to be strategic advisors to domestic and global foundations to achieve orbit shifting impact. Our focus is on enabling holistic organisation and ecosystem transformation - by rigorously solving problems, formulating strategic solutions which are logically sound and effective on the ground and ensuring all stakeholders are effectively engaged and their interests are covered.

The Opportunity

As a Consultant in the Foundations team, you will be an integral part of a team that designs and builds solutions that best address our clients’ needs and create measurable impact. As a Consultant, you will get an opportunity to work alongside individuals/teams on research, design, delivery, ecosystem engagement and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Independently build simple project plans and manage daily responsibilities efficiently.
• Actively track project milestones and manage multiple streams within the project to ensure execution as per timelines.
• Possess excellent time management and prioritisation skills to work on key activities directly linked to impact outcomes.
• Proactively identify and report project-related risks, mitigating them in consultation with the project lead.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of key project knowledge assets, ensuring all critical information is well-documented and easily accessible.
  
  
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build credibility and influence with the middle management of client organisations, relevant stakeholders in the education ecosystem through proactive engagement and demonstrated experience.
• Actively engage with clients, comprehending both articulated and unarticulated needs.
• Articulate your perspective by leveraging pertinent information, compelling arguments, and illustrative examples.
  
  
  

Team Collaboration

• Work with junior team members, guide Associate or Analysts on the team to achieve high-quality project deliverables on time; Able to give and receive constructive feedback to the team members in a respectable manner.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders of the organisation, actively contributing innovative ideas and frameworks as needed to support business growth initiatives.
• Manage conflict within the team in an open and transparent manner.
  
  
  

Strategic Thinking & Problem solving

• Stay updated on trends in the education ecosystem and actively build perspectives, frameworks, and mental models that strengthen strategic thinking.
• Structure problem statements and support the development of evidence-backed, contextually grounded strategic recommendations.
• Understand the broader vision of the organisation/project and align workstreams accordingly.
• Take a step back periodically to identify emerging insights or patterns that may influence project work.
  
  
  

Research & Data Analysis

• Lead primary and secondary research (proficiency in literature review, market research, solution landscape mapping , policy research, etc.).
• Prepare interview questions for primary research, manage focus groups, carry out interviews and conduct surveys.
• Conduct relevant quantitative/qualitative analysis on the data to cull out meaningful insights relevant to client problems.
• Present data insights in a concise and meaningful manner using relevant visualisations.
  
  
  

Key qualifications and experiences:

• 4–6 years of experience in consulting, project management, operations, research in the corporate sector, social sector, or global foundations.
• MBA or an equivalent postgraduate degree in business management, development studies, public policy, education, or social sciences.
• Prior experience in the education sector including experience with education programs, research, evaluations, policy analysis, or similar work.
• Experience working with government school systems, state education departments, or education-focused foundations/NGOs is required.
• Prior experience in a client- or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Experience in leading small teams and contributing to program strategy is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work closely with field teams and travel to project sites as required.
• Proficiency in regional languages (Odiya/Hindi/Kannada) is an added advantage.
• Demonstrate humility, willingness to listen, and eagerness to learn.
