Job Description
The Clinical Programmer – Elluminate role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing clinical data solutions using Elluminate and SQL. This position supports clinical programming activities by transforming complex clinical data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets and reports that help drive data-driven decision-making in clinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize clinical programs and workflows within the Elluminate platform to support clinical data management and reporting.
- Write, test, and validate SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load clinical data from various sources into Elluminate or related systems.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of clinical data throughout the programming and reporting process.
- Collaborate with clinical and data management teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust programming solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to clinical programming, data extraction, and data transformation within Elluminate and SQL environments.
- Document programming specifications, data flows, and technical processes to support transparency, reproducibility, and audit readiness.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a clinical programmer or in a similar clinical data programming role.
- Hands-on experience working with the Elluminate platform for clinical data management and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and managing clinical datasets.
- Ability to understand and work with clinical study data and related data structures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional clinical and data teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience or training as a Clinical Programmer – Elluminate with a focus on SQL.
- Familiarity with clinical research processes and clinical data lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a data-driven environment.
- Ability to document technical processes and programming specifications clearly and thoroughly.
Work Environment
