The Amazon Selling Partner Developer Services team is hiring for an experienced Business Analyst who is a quick learner and can work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where timely delivery is critical. The candidate will need to balance technical and business judgment to help inform a global risk operations team on the trending behaviors of Sellers, Vendors, and Solution Providers utilizing Seller Partner API (SP-API).

To be successful in this role you should have superior communication, presentation and organizational skills. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment you will work autonomously taking control and responsibility for achieving the objectives of the role. This role provides opportunities to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever changing business climate.

She/he is an expert with data modeling, ETL design and business intelligence tools. She/he is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, pays careful attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team that continuously learns and evolves on a day to day basis

About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on, detail oriented and highly motivated data analyst to help create data backed insights. The candidate should be comfortable interfacing with technology systems and be able to analyze data and gather actionable conclusions. Operating in a rapidly changing environment will require the candidate to be adept at dealing with ambiguous, new and challenging situations. The candidate will be comfortable in executing repeatable processes. The candidate should also have an excellent understanding of SQL and query development, good business acumen and the ability to work with quantitative and business teams.

Role And Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
• Understand Amazon Seller Services products and services and track/report business performance and problem areas using appropriate metrics
• Use Amazon’s tools to problem solve and validate solutions
• Partner with global teams to define and track goals around key operational metrics
• Help identify process improvement opportunities to build streamlined and scalable solutions
• Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazons data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
• 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience with Excel
• Experience with SQL
• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree or above in business or analytical discipline
• 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
• Experience with handling of large datasets
