Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Go, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, platform, and DevOps) to define, design, and deliver robust backend systems.
• Architect and implement scalable APIs and service interfaces, ensuring clean design, versioning, and adherence to industry standards.
• Design and build systems with a strong understanding of authentication and authorization flows (JWT, OAuth2, OIDC), ensuring secure and efficient access control.
• Work with or integrate identity providers (e.g., Keycloak or similar systems) to enable centralized authentication and user/session management.
• Contribute to or integrate with API gateways / edge layers, handling concerns such as routing, rate limiting, authentication enforcement, and request transformation.
• Ensure APIs are well-documented, observable, and production-ready with proper logging, tracing, and metrics.
• Optimize database queries and data access patterns for performance and scalability across PostgreSQL (or other SQL databases) and MongoDB.
• Work with large datasets while ensuring data integrity, consistency, and efficient data modeling.
• Implement and manage caching strategies (e.g., Redis or similar) to reduce latency and improve throughput.
• Build systems with strong observability practices, including distributed tracing, structured logging, and metrics collection to support debugging and performance tuning.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex backend and distributed systems problems with a pragmatic and scalable approach.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to deliver features that are reliable, secure, and performant at scale.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Go
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable, production-grade backend systems.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth2, or OIDC.
• Exposure to identity and access management systems (e.g., Keycloak or similar tools) is a strong plus.
• Experience working with or integrating API gateways / edge services (e.g., Kong, Envoy, NGINX, or cloud-native gateways).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (or other SQL databases) and MongoDB, including query optimization and schema design.
• Familiarity with caching systems like Redis or Memcached.
• Understanding of observability tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
• Experience working in collaborative, fast-paced environments with a focus on ownership and delivery.
