About AWM
Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Division ("AWM") offers a broad product line consisting of all primary asset classes and maintains a global distribution platform designed to serve a diverse client base of institutions and individuals. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of AWM, the Finance team collaborates closely with senior management on projects impacting the growth and profitability of the division, as well as with the leadership of AWM’s business units on specific financial issues and strategic initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including detailed analysis of Actuals versus Budget performance across expense categories.
- Contribute to reviews with business stakeholders by preparing materials, analyzing trends, and providing insights on expense drivers and variances.
- Own the production and ongoing enhancement of daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reporting to support transparency and management decision‑making.
- Assist in driving the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools for key metrics across business segments.
- Support strategic initiatives related to expense management, efficiency, and cost control through analysis and execution.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support projections, scenario analysis, and expense‑to‑revenue correlation assessments.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data, and actively support data governance and control processes.
- Execute reporting, analysis, and deliverables with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to prescribed reporting calendars.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate existing processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Perform recurring and ad‑hoc analyses in support of senior management and business initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with teams within the division and key partners outside the division.
Preferred Qualifications
- Finance Professional experience 4-6 years in FPA domain – CA / MBA preferred
- MS Office skills – Advanced MS Excel knowledge, proficiency on MS PowerPoint
- Proficiency in BI tools – Alteryx, Tableau, Qliksense
- Professional experience in handling large amounts of data and analysis
- Clear and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Experience of working in a global setup will be of advantage
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
- Courage to challenge current practice and suggest new ways of working, value-added ideas/ approaches
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and to interface with employees at all levels
- Flexibility to adapt and perform in a dynamic and evolving organization
