Job Description

Your Role

As a Functional QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies across the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and Agile teams to validate application functionality, performance, and integrations while driving continuous quality improvements.

In this role, you will:

• Design and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on acceptance criteria.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Insomnia to validate functionality and integrations.
• Conduct performance testing using JMeter or browser developer tools to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Execute manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across modules.
• Write basic SQL queries for backend validation and data verification.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and align testing activities with PI objectives.
• Develop and maintain Cypress automation scripts where applicable.
  
  

Your Profile

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Functional QA and software testing.
• Location: Bangalore (Work from Office).
  
  

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
• Experience in performance testing using JMeter or browser-based tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks (Cypress preferred) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-based tools for test design and documentation.
  
  

Core Skills

• Strong understanding of QA processes and SDLC/STLC in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
