We are seeking a skilled and motivated Atlassian Administrator / Developer to support and enhance our Atlassian service management ecosystem as we migrate and mature our ITSM platform. This role will be responsible for hands-on administration, configuration, automation, and ongoing support across the full Atlassian stack, including Jira Service Management, Jira, Confluence, Atlassian Assets, and related Atlassian tools.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid Atlassian Cloud experience who enjoys building practical solutions, improving workflows, and supporting IT service operations. You will work closely with ITSM process owners, platform stakeholders, and technical teams to help configure and maintain service management capabilities, support asset and configuration data, and contribute to automation and AI-enabled improvements.

The ideal candidate has experience with Atlassian administration and development, a strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, and a clear interest in supporting ITSM-driven use cases.

Key Responsibilities

Atlassian administration and support

  • Administer and support the Atlassian Cloud stack, including Jira Service Management, Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Assets.
  • Configure and maintain projects, workflows, request types, queues, screens, fields, permissions, notifications, and SLAs.
  • Assist with day-to-day platform support, troubleshooting, and user support requests.
  • Help maintain platform standards, documentation, and configuration consistency.
  • Support changes and enhancements across the Atlassian environment.


Automation and development

  • Build and maintain automation rules to reduce manual work and improve service efficiency.
  • Support scripting, API-based integrations, or low-code/no-code enhancements as needed.
  • Assist with testing and deploying platform changes in a controlled way.
  • Contribute to improvements in service desk usability, routing, and reporting.


ITSM process support

  • Support core ITSM workflows, including:
    • Incident Management
    • Major Incident Management
    • Change Management
    • Release Management
    • Problem Management
    • Service Request Fulfillment
  • Work with ITSM process owners to translate requirements into platform configuration.
  • Help support SLAs, routing logic, escalation paths, and request categorization.

Asset and configuration management

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of Assets / CMDB structures in Jira Service Management.
  • Help define, maintain, and improve configuration item and asset data.
  • Support data imports, updates, and integrations from source systems.
  • Help improve data quality and consistency across asset and configuration records.


AI, operations, and integrations

  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of Rovo AI Agents and other AI-enabled service management use cases.
  • Help support integrations with IT operations, monitoring, on-call, cloud, and asset sources.
  • Contribute to incident and operational workflows, including alert intake and escalation support.
  • Assist in replacing or modernizing legacy operations tooling where applicable.


Reporting and continuous improvement

  • Build dashboards, filters, and reports to support operational visibility.
  • Help identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and process improvement.
  • Document configurations, support procedures, and technical decisions.
  • Partner with teammates to improve the overall Atlassian experience for end users and support teams.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience administering or supporting Atlassian tools, especially Jira Service Management, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with Atlassian Cloud
  • Experience with configuration of Jira Service Management, including workflows, request types, queues, custom fields, and automation.
  • Experience working in or supporting ITSM processes such as:
    • Incident Management
    • Change Management
    • Release Management
    • Problem Management
    • Service Request Management
  • Experience supporting or maintaining Assets / CMDB in Jira Service Management or similar platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or supporting Rovo AI Agents or other AI-driven support use cases.
  • Experience with Opsgenie or incident/on-call tooling.
  • Experience with API integrations, automation scripts, or app-based enhancements in Atlassian.
  • Experience supporting asset or configuration data for:
    • servers and virtual infrastructure
    • cloud resources
    • SaaS/application inventory
    • business services
  • Experience integrating Atlassian with tools such as:
    • Flexera
    • Intune
    • Jamf
    • SCCM
    • Tanium
    • AWS
    • Azure
  • Familiarity with ITIL or general service management best practices.
  • Exposure to a software company, SaaS company, or similarly lean environment.
  • Atlassian certifications or equivalent hands-on experience.
