We are looking for a strategic and analytical Associate Vice President to join our Risk Management Team, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and proficiency in data management and manipulation tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel.

You will design and implement scalable risk governance frameworks that engage with customers throughout their loan lifecycle — from acquisition to customer management — enabling lending operations to run efficiently at scale within a defined risk appetite. This is a high-visibility role that requires strong operational rigor, cross-functional collaboration with Product, Collections, Finance, Tech, Compliance, and Legal teams, and the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of internal and external audiences.

Key job responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Risk Initiatives aligned to broader Team objectives.
• Design, maintain, and update risk mitigation policies and controls across all customer interactions — onboarding journey, credit and fraud underwriting, and customer lifecycle management
• Create and own a lending portfolio governance framework, including data models and reports, leveraging SQL, Python, Excel, and dashboarding tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and propose solutions, maintaining risk appetite and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
• Communicate complex operational findings and strategic recommendations clearly to a variety of internal and external audiences, including senior leadership
  
  

About The Team

The Credit Risk team develops and maintains all policies pertaining to credit underwriting of customers seeking a loan. They also manage a customers end to end credit experience from loan disbursal strategy to collections strategy. They also work with the data science teams of risk management Machine Learning models that are incorporated in the policies as well as the product management teams to customize the product from a lending point of view.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of data analysis experience
• 2+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
• Bachelors degree
• Experience in advanced data analysis using Excel, Python, or SQL
• 2+ years of experience defining and implementing process and policy improvement initiatives that impact credit & fraud risk, using data and metrics
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
• 2+ years of risk management experience, specifically in unsecured lending such as Personal Loans, credit cards, consumer durable financing, etc. within the consumer lending category
• 1+ year of experience driving end-to-end consumer lending portfolio management and stakeholder management
