Strategy

  • Core member of Regulatory reporting function and contribute to its deliverables in accordance with Regulatory requirements and

provider greater insights across all Liquidity metrics submitted to the stakeholders. Work across Group, Country, Business and Change

teams with an aim to improve accuracy of reporting and drive initiatives to optimize Liquidity and RWA thereby contributing to improve Group RoTE.

Business

  • Responsible for analysis and quantification of regulatory and behavioural liquidity risk impact of transactions undertaken by

business units. Maintain strong stakeholder relationship with Group liquidity, treasury and business lines to manage liquidity

withing constraints. Support business in the monitoring of key liquidity/funding metrics to maintain liquidity/funding levels within prescribed limits.

Processes

  • Ensure the operational efficiency, accuracy and completeness of the reports are demonstrated, reviewed & monitored with

appropriate KPIs. Establish robust control and governance on the reporting process including the requirements to manage report quality

and operational control. This includes expected data quality monitoring required in the reporting standards for regulatory reporting.

Continuously strive for process improvement with standardisation, simplification and automation.

People & Talent

  • Building relationships to improve collaboration across country and GCFO functions to resolve issues and implement changes for liquidity reporting.

Risk Management

  • Candidate needs to be able to articulate the Liquidity metrics and drive the discussion with Senior stakeholders across Finance,

Risk, Treasury and Business to meet the requirements. Provide Consultation/Support in dealing with business queries relating to

Liquidity metrics, all other internal and external Liquidity regulatory reports

Governance

  • Monitor and ensure that appropriate Change governance is followed across all transformation initiatives. Support the function on

materials relevant to governance forums in place for tracking change initiatives.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across

Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key stakeholders

  • GPO/GPM, Liquidity
  • Group Regulatory Reporting - Head and Reporting Leads
  • Credit and Market Risk functions - Functional Heads and Leads
  • Liquidity Change Management - Head and Leads across Liquidity Change
  • Country Regulatory Reporting - CFO, Financial Controller and Country Leads
  • Partner within BSM Liquidity, GCFO team and Stakeholders to Build domain expertise in the areas of Balance Sheet Management,

Liquidity Risk Management, Interest Rate Risk Management, Fund Transfer Pricing, Benchmarking & Stress Test Data Framework, and the

relevant policies, procedures, and practice guides, and regulatory reporting guidelines including Basel III.

Skills And Experience

  • Good understanding of banks balance sheet, financial statements and able to co-relate to liquidity / funding risk measures / regulatory reporting.
  • Exposure to liquidity risk metrics such as LCR/ NSFR/ PRA110/ALMM and internal liquidity stress measures
  • Exposure to regulatory policy requirement for liquidity risk measures and data management - BCBS 239
  • Experience in driving change initiatives and able to effectively partner with stakeholders within & outside of the immediate team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Candidate must be familiar with the use of SQL to interrogate and extract the data for analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Excel, Python and other automation tools is an added benefit
  • Knowledge on Regulatory Systems such as Moodys, Axiom is desired

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in Financial reporting / Regulatory Reporting / Treasury / Balance Sheet management / Product control / Financial Planning & Analysis / Risk Management.
  • MBA (Fin) / CA / Masters in Finance/Accountancy/Economics or affiliated subjects
  • Undergraduate degree in Science / Engineering / Commerce.
  • Professional Certification such as FRM / CFA will be an added advantage.
