Job Description

The Business Analyst works alongside Business Process Leads and IT application development teams to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, support solution design, and help implement software applications. The role participates in blueprinting and design sessions and helps evaluate proposed technical solutions against business requirements.

Responsibilities

•Collaborate with Business Process Leads to gather high-level requirements and document findings, decisions and process flows using established standards and templates.

•Maintain a strong understanding of client needs and provide context and strategic input to shape and refine deliverables.

•Manage expectations across cross-functional clients and management, influencing alignment and consensus.

•Translate business requirements into solution options and present playbacks and alternatives to business leads and Agile delivery teams.

•Analyze end-to-end processes and integration touchpoints to ensure proposed designs meet business needs.

•Create functional specifications, use cases, process diagrams, UI storyboards or mock-ups, and data conversion specifications.

•Collaborate with Development, QA and testing teams to clarify and refine requirements and functionality throughout delivery.

Qualifications

•7+ years of experience in a professional-services or global corporate environment, including 5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting software and application development lifecycles.

•Experience on large-scale global projects, delivering requirements on time and within budget.

•Strong requirements engineering: workshops, functional specifications, use cases, gap analysis and process mapping.

•Ability to identify ambiguity in business requests and convert intent into clear, specific requirements.

•Advanced analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with strong stakeholder communication.

•Ability to organize multiple concurrent priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
