Application Support Engineer - IIS

<p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>We are looking for an Application Support Engineer with hands-on experience supporting web applications and application environments using Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and .NET.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be comfortable with application deployments, production troubleshooting, system configuration, and resolving technical issues within defined service levels.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and troubleshoot web applications, APIs, and application environments.</li> <li>Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain applications hosted on IIS.</li> <li>Support .NET application deployments and upgrades.</li> <li>Troubleshoot application, IIS, SQL Server, connectivity, and production issues.</li> <li>Handle application releases, patches, fixes, and service requests.</li> <li>Troubleshoot SSL certificates, DNS, ports, and network connectivity.</li> <li>Assist with security hardening and remediation of application/server vulnerabilities.</li> <li>Analyze logs and identify the root cause of production issues.</li> <li>Work with internal and customer-facing teams to resolve technical issues.</li> <li>Ensure issues are handled within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements).</li> <li>Provide occasional onsite and after-hours support when required.</li> </ul> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in Application Support / Production Support.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Windows Server and IIS.</li> <li>Experience with .NET application deployment and support.</li> <li>Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of SSL, DNS, networking, and connectivity troubleshooting.</li> <li>Understanding of application/server security and vulnerability remediation.</li> <li>Basic SQL/scripting knowledge.</li> <li>Good communication and customer-handling skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with APIs and web applications.</li> <li>Exposure to SQL clustering or log shipping.</li> <li>Exposure to DevOps practices.</li> <li>Familiarity with basic mobile application/platform support.</li> </ul>
