As an Associate Engineer – Backend, you'll work on real production systems from day one, contribute to products used by thousands of merchants, and learn from experienced engineers while building scalable backend services. What You'll Own

• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS, while gradually gaining exposure to Go.
• Develop and optimize APIs and backend components that power GoKwik's products at scale.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, while learning technologies such as Redis, Kafka, and AWS.
• Debug production issues, write reliable tests, and improve code quality across services.
• Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and progressively grow toward delivering end-to-end features independently.
• Continuously improve your understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and backend engineering best practices.
  
  

Who You Are

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
• Comfortable programming in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Familiar with relational and NoSQL database concepts.
• Passionate about backend engineering and eager to learn modern distributed systems.
• Curious, proactive, and receptive to feedback in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
