Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for engineering applications (e.g., CAD, PLM, GIS, CAE tools) to improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Build scripts, macros, plugins, and APIs using languages like Python, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, or SQL to automate workflows and integrate engineering systems.
  • Analyze engineering processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop data extraction, transformation, and validation tools to streamline engineering data workflows.
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, ensuring performance, security, and compatibility with application upgrades.
  • Collaborate with engineering, CAD/CAE, IT, and product development teams to gather requirements and deliver reliable automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot automation issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Document automation processes, technical specifications, and user guides for smooth adoption.
  • Support deployment, testing, and validation of automation tools across global engineering teams.
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies, APIs, and development practices to enhance automation capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Similar or higher qualification will be preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technology and new domain area
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, co-workers, and managers.
  • Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are essential to perform the tasks.
  • Monitors the operating efficiency of existing application systems.
  • Promotes continuous process improvement especially in code quality, testability & reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with other Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams.
  • Ability to work on legacy applications.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
