We are looking for AI & Railway Signaling (Special Projects)
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Engineer to work on AI-driven solutions for special projects in the railway domain. The role requires strong expertise in Indian Railways signalling systems, hands-on experience with Electronic Interlocking (EI), and the ability to apply AI/ML techniques to improve operational efficiency, safety, and system intelligence.
You’ll make a difference by
Develop and implement AI-based solutions for railway signaling and control systems.
Work on special projects involving predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and operational optimization.
Analyze signaling data (track circuits, point machines, signals, interlocking logic) to derive actionable insights.
Collaborate with system engineering teams to integrate AI models into existing signaling infrastructure.
Design and validate algorithms for safety-critical railway applications.
Support testing, commissioning, and validation of Electronic Interlocking systems.
Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and performance analysis.
Ensure compliance with Indian Railways standards and safety requirements.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
3–8 years of experience in railway signaling projects.
Strong understanding of Indian Railways signaling concepts, including Interlocking principles, Route setting logic, Track circuits and point detection
Hands-on experience with Electronic Interlocking (EI) systems.
Knowledge of signaling standards, safety protocols, and fail-safe design principles.
Experience in AI/ML frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
Strong programming skills in Python and/or C/C++.
Experience in data analysis, model development, and deployment.
Familiarity with Predictive analytics, Computer vision or anomaly detection (preferred) and Edge computing or embedded systems (added advantage)
Experience working on Indian Railways or metro signaling projects.
Exposure to digital twins, IoT-based monitoring, or smart rail solutions.
Experience with system integration and testing in safety-critical environments.
Problem-solving mindset with innovation focus
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Ability to work on cross-functional and special projects
Good communication and documentation skills
Understanding of safety-critical system development
