Accountant

As an Accountant within our APAC based Finance Center of Excellence, you will support the global finance operations and specifically the HWUS Finance team by managing Procure-to-Pay workflows, credit card reconciliation, cashbook and bank reconciliations, and maintaining supplier relationships. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while collaborating closely with US stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) – AP Workflow & Approvals

• Set up vendors in Paprika & in the bank portal for payment processing
• Receive vendor invoices, validate OCR fields, ensure correct tagging.
• PO Matching & Exception / Query Management: Perform 2-/3-way match, resolve mismatches.
• Obtain written approvals for OPEX & Non-PO Spend
• Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and within a timely manner.
• Prepare payment runs, generate/upload bank files, send remittance.
• Partner with US finance team on inbox triage and SLA turnaround.

Corporate Cards & Employee Expenses

• Ensure receipts and approvals are collected
• Support the reconciliation and posting of corporate credit card claims
• Review employee expenses to ensure compliance with policy including IRS required receipts. Communicate as needed with Employees to reissue should corrections be necessary

Collections

• Support Collections process by following up on past due invoices and escalating issues appropriately when necessary

Cashbook & Bank Reconciliations

• Maintain daily cashbook entries.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and clear open items.
• Assist Finance Director with Working Capital reports as needed

Controls & Compliance

• Maintain audit-ready documentation and follow segregation of duties.
• Support internal/external audits with evidence packs.
• Assist US Finance team with fulfilling revenue and purchasing sample pull requests during three annual audit sessions (Half Year (Dec), Interim (May), Full Year (July))

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide daily handover notes to US team and join scheduled stand-ups.
• Maintain process maps and run-books for continuity

You’ll Bring:

• 3 years+ experience in accounts payable, credit card reconciliations and supplier management within a shared services environment with a shared inbox. Experience in audit, billing and general accounting a strong plus
• Working knowledge of job structures and Job vs GL accounting required
• Agency or Professional service industry experience preferred. Audit firm experience a plus
• Experience with Paprika or a similar accounting system is desirable
• MS Excel (intermediate) and MS Word experience are essential
• Excellent written and spoken English for US stakeholder interactions.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to meet strict deadlines.
• US AP experience preferred
