About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workday Absence and Time Tracking consultant who thrives at the intersection of technology and advisory consulting.

As a Senior Consultant specialising in Workday Absence and Time Tracking, you will work closely with our customers and act as a trusted advisor across the full engagement lifecycle — from requirements and configuration through to go-live, optimisation, and ongoing support.

You will bring your own initiative, judgement, and leadership to every engagement. Your ability to listen carefully, advise confidently, navigate complexity, and build genuine client trust will define your impact here just as much as your Workday configuration skills and knowledge of Workday Absence and Time Tracking.

What Youll Be Doing

Customer Engagement & Consulting

  • Lead requirements and design workshops with confidence, using structured facilitation and strong presentation skills to draw out what customers truly need
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, translating business challenges into practical, scalable Workday solutions.
  • Proactively flag risks and challenges before they become problems, drawing on your implementation experience to guide customers towards best-practice approaches
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customer teams — in person and virtually — that go beyond the immediate project

Solution Delivery

  • Independently configure Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate across workstreams — data, integrations, payroll, and other functional areas — to ensure your Absence and Time Tracking solution is an integrated and coherent end to end solution
  • Produce accurate time estimates and solution proposals, balancing customer needs with delivery practicality
  • Oversee and lead testing of delivered solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a smooth migration of configuration and data to production
  • Maintain thorough documentation throughout, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards
  • Work with our live customers to optimise and support their Absence and Time Tracking solutions in Workday, helping them get more value from their Workday investment over time

Team & Project Leadership

  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, sharing your knowledge generously and helping to grow capability within the team
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders and contribute to timeline management, supporting Project Managers to keep engagements on track
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture where knowledge-sharing is the norm

Essential Experience

What Were Looking For

  • Workday implementer certifications in Absence and Time Tracking, with at least 4 years of hands-on configuration experience across implementation, optimisation, or support engagements for Absence and Time Tracking
  • Hands-on delivery across 3 or more end-to-end Workday implementations with Absence and Time Tracking as a primary workstream.
  • Solid grasp of the Workday implementation methodology and customer-side deliverables
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members on at least one implementation and actively contributing to building team capability
  • A genuine understanding of broader HR processes — not just the system, but the business context behind it
  • Understanding of the touchpoints between Absence and Time Tracking and other parts of a Workday implementation (e.g. other functional modules, data, integrations, payroll etc.)

Desirable

  • Experience supporting live customers with Workday Absence and Time Tracking
  • Degree in a technical, business, HR, or related discipline
  • Prior experience working as an HR professional or in an HR operations environment
  • Experience of Workday Scheduling
