The Opportunity

The Warehouse Operations role focuses on managing, optimizing, and ensuring efficiency in day-to-day warehouse processes including receiving, storing, inventory management, and dispatch of materials. The role emphasizes maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, safety, and compliance across all warehouse activities. It involves applying structured processes to improve operational efficiency, ensure proper material handling, reduce losses, and support overall supply chain effectiveness. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, supporting ERP/SAP-based inventory systems, ensuring traceability, and driving continuous improvements aligned with organizational objectives such as safety, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Oversee and supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, including training, performance evaluation, and guidance.
  • Conduct visual inspection of incoming materials to ensure quality and identify any transit damage.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments along with documentation verification.
  • Receive, unpack, confirm, and store materials in appropriate locations; maintain accurate records in ERP/SAP systems.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS reports such as receipt vs. consumption tracking.
  • Maintain proper bin locations and ensure efficient inventory tracking and control systems.
  • Ensure proper storage, preservation, identification, and traceability of all materials.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety while minimizing hazards.
  • Handle non-conforming materials and ensure proper documentation for supplier returns.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse.
  • Manage material issuance to production, subcontractors, and end-users as per reservations.
  • Track material orders, coordinate deliveries, and process job challans.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.
  • Handle documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Support stock audits and perpetual inventory processes, including write-offs with approvals if required.
  • Implement and maintain Safety and 5S standards in the workplace.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment operations and ensure timely maintenance and safety checks.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Promote and uphold organizational core values of safety and integrity in all operations.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering with relevant experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes including inbound, storage, inventory management, stock control, receiving, shipping, and dispatch.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP systems, preferably with knowledge of PS, MM, and SD modules.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, 5S implementation, and compliance practices.
  • Experience working with or exposure to industries/companies such as ABB, GE, Siemens, Alstom, Schneider, Mahindra Logistics, Allcargo, or GXO Logistics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
