Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned Lead QA & Quality Engineering Manager to direct the quality strategy, automation architecture, performance engineering, and security validation for a digital authentication platform serving the banking industry, as well as a consumer-facing application.

This position blends technical leadership with hands-on quality engineering, enterprise observability integration, and compliance preparedness. The ideal candidate will independently convert product and business requirements into scalable QA strategies, develop automation frameworks, ensure system robustness under heavy authentication traffic, and create audit-ready processes in accordance with fintech and banking standards.

This role is mission-critical, emphasizing reliability, security, and enterprise-level performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Strategy & Leadership
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end QA strategy across B2B authentication systems and consumer applications
• Establish testing standards, release governance procedures, and risk-based testing frameworks
• Promote automation-first QA methodologies
• Build structured regression, performance, and security testing workflows
• Collaborate closely with engineering and DevOps to maintain quality at every SDLC phase
• Lead QA planning, risk assessments, and production sign-offs
• Functional & API Testing (Authentication Systems)
• Design and execute detailed test cases covering:
  
  

○ Multi-factor authentication processes

○ OTP validation sequences

○ JWT / OAuth-based authentication mechanisms

○ Session lifecycle management and token expiration

○ Role-based access control (RBAC)

• Conduct API validation using Postman / REST Assured
• Handle edge cases such as retry logic, rate limiting, and lockout procedures
• Guarantee reliability across devices, browsers, and environments
• Automation Engineering & CI/CD Integration
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks
• Develop UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
• Construct API automation pipelines
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Ensure extensive regression coverage for critical authentication flows
• Performance & Load Engineering
• Develop load testing strategies for managing high-volume authentication traffic
• Simulate bursts of concurrent logins, token generation spikes, and OTP validation surges
• Utilize tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize system scalability
• Verify system stability under peak load conditions
• Enterprise Observability & APM Monitoring
• Partner with DevOps to deploy enterprise-grade APM and observability solutions (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic)
• Monitor key metrics including:

○ API response times

○ Infrastructure health

• Define SLAs and SLOs aligned with banking industry standards
• Implement alerting systems for anomaly detection and traffic surges
• Support distributed tracing and root cause analysis
• Security Testing & Compliance Readiness
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security testing
• Employ tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, and SonarQube
• Verify encryption, token integrity, brute-force prevention, and injection safeguards
• Ensure preparedness for fintech and banking compliance requirements
• Maintain detailed defect logs and audit documentation
