Process Specialist

Job Purpose and Impact

The Process Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting fixed asset accounting activities across the Americas region. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal policies, and contributes to process efficiency and continuous improvement. Through collaboration and clear communication, the specialist helps transform data into meaningful insights that support decision-making and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

• Operational Execution: Perform core fixed asset accounting activities, including reconciliations, CRP explanations, depreciation calculations, PO accruals, and preparation of PPE and CAPEX schedules. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate information in full compliance with internal policies and external standards, while maintaining timely and precise postings.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and validate both accounting and management reports to support decision making by global Cargill stakeholders. Additionally, provide our internal team with reliable data and clear analysis, translating complex asset movements into actionable insights that enhance financial visibility and strategic planning.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure all processes and information provided meet governance and account standards and contribute to a culture of accountability and integrity.
• Process Improvement Support: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and standardize procedures across regions. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing forward ideas that reduce risk and increase reliability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with regional teams, finance partners, and the manager to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and support business needs.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• 3 years of experience in finance operations or accounting, preferably with exposure to fixed assets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across regional and global teams.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or JDE; familiarity with reporting tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated maturity, accountability, and a mindset focused on process excellence.
• Shift 2:00pm – 11:00pm (during Close it will 4:00PM TO 1:00AM)
