Job Purpose and Impact

  • The accountant will help establish and maintain our accounting policies and fiscal controls, helping prepare financial reports and safeguarding our organization's assets. We seek a professional with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices. In this role, you will help to build financial statements with accuracy that comply with established requirements and policies. Should have strong knowledge on consolidation of financials.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger including payroll accounting, pension accounting, investment accounting, intercompany and blackline reconciliation, etc.
  • Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to reclassify and to record transactions.
  • Manage independently monthly books close process.
  • Review and create standard accounting OneStream packages.
  • Contribute to new setup and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Lead process improvements, train the team on process changes and continuous improvement, and assist in audit activity.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with business partners, responding to business contacts or customers directly to deliver accurate processes.
  • Update and maintain standard operation procedures on a timely basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Shift timing in non-close 2PM to 11PM and during close (monthly/quarterly) 6PM to 3:00AM.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance/commerce.
  • Proficient with email, spreadsheet, and word processing applications
  • Advanced data analytical skills for using spreadsheets or business intelligence tools.
  • Experienced leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making.
  • Experienced working with multiple businesses or international business experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of related work experience.
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA Inter / CMA Inter, Master's degree.
  • Knowledge of accounting modules in enterprise resource planning systems such as CFIN, SAP, OneStream.
  • Working experience in multinational environment or with external audit.
  • Knowledge of international financial reporting standards and generally accepted accounting principles (Awareness of US GAAP).
